Poppa and Farmor came down on Soren's birthday to celebrate his first year and spend a week with us in sunny southern CA. Seattle has been so cold this winter that a little bit of thawing out was in order. While they were here we went to both California Adventure and Disneyland, a day trip to Temecula, hung out with sickies and gave Lynn the crud in the process, visited the art fair in Downtown San Clemente, and even managed to have a family picture taken of all 6 of us on Sunday after church. It was a really nice week!
Einar got to go to a birthday party for Claire, one of his classmates. He had a blast at the backyard bash playing with his buddy Nicholas. They especially enjoyed taking time out in the porch swing and eating popcorn together.
Jared and Soren in New Orleans Square in Disneyland. We went there on Friday afternoon and evening.
Einar and I had about an hour by ourselves in the park while Jared took his folks and Soren to see Jedi Training academy and Astroblasters. He and rode the big train, went to the Tiki Room, rode Alice in Wonderland, and scouted out dinner places.
He rode in the front of the caterpillar all by himself through Alice in Wonderland. Check out that profile!
We said good-bye to Einar's Lightening McQueen shoes this week. There were some tears, but I took a picture of them for him to remember.
